Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast

Description

The Golden Gate was another of The Hayson Group of Companies’ most significant developments. As the largest and tallest residential building in the Southern Hemisphere at the time it was completed, it significantly helped to boost Surfers Paradise’s international profile and was the precursor of the buildings that make up the Surfers skyline today.

At 37 storeys high and containing 187 apartments, it was a large-scale development even by today’s standards. Panoramic views, top of the line finishes, fittings and inclusions, intelligent floor plans, world class facilities, superbly landscaped grounds and the spectacular location ensured The Golden Gate had enormous influence on future luxury residential developments. Built in 1978, it was financed by the QBE Insurance Company. The total development cost was $15million.

Over the past 40 years The Hayson Group of Companies has been at the forefront of property development, identifying new areas of opportunity and innovatively designed projects. The Hayson Group prides itself on its longevity, strong industry reputation and superior product.
